5 GREAT BANDS By Joseph Brosta IV Tonight, all good people are truckin' to Utopia, 37415 Euclid, for a seven-hour rock festival featuring M. F. Rattlesnake, Gallery, Sweatleaf, Voodoo, and Raspberries. Music begins at 7 PM. Tickets only $2. The Raspberries recently released their first single on Capitol Records. Over the years, Raspberries have gathered a large following with a repertoire consisting of sloppy renditions of Beatles and Rolling Stones songs, plus some old rock 'n' roll. Their latest release, "Rock and Roll Mama" sounds like pre-'65 Beatles uptempo stuff. The other side, "Don't Want to Say Goodbye," utilizes strings and a dominant piano in the "Color My World" tradition. Expect a wild performance of original and familiar material. Voodoo conjures up hard rock. Its three members (bass, organ and drums) previously worked with North River Street, Cottonmouth, and Lacewing. Tonight's concert affords the opportunity to hear some of the areas best bands. Hard rock…horn rock…top-40…originals. The Scene staff hopes to see you there. Cleveland Scene / February 24, 1972
