"Go All The Way" made a brief appearance in Cameron Crowe's rock and roll movie, Almost Famous, as rock journalist Lester Bangs drags his turntable needle off the tune to take an incoming phone call. It was the only time a Raspberries song was used in a movie.
In his foreword to the acclaimed biography, Eric Carmen: Marathon Man, Crowe writes, "During Almost Famous, I knew I had to have the Raspberries in there somewhere, and I wanted them in the scene in Bangs' apartment. I tried several songs, but the one that I always came back to was the first one, 'Go All The Way.'"
Apparently, Crowe wanted "Go All The Way" on the soundtrack album, too, but the studio filled it up with artists that were affiliated with the label. Anyway, in case you forgot, all of the TV and radio ads promoting the movie as well as the DVD release featured a long version of "Go All The Way" as their soundtrack!
